The short version
We hold two kinds of personal data: account details of our customers, and business contact details of professionals in our dataset. We use the second only to provide B2B prospecting data, we tell you where it comes from, and anyone can opt out.
1. Who this covers
- Customers: people who sign up for or visit Leadsets.
- People in our dataset: professionals whose business contact details appear in Leadsets results.
2. What we collect about customers
- Account details: name, work email, company, password hash or sign-in provider.
- Billing details, handled by our payment processor. We don't store card numbers.
- Usage data: API calls, tools used, limits consumed, errors.
3. What we hold about people in our dataset
Business information only: name, job title, employer, work email and its verification status, professional profile URL where permitted, company details and work location at city or country level. We don't sell personal phone numbers, home addresses or sensitive data. Every field records its source and when it was last checked.
4. Where dataset information comes from
Licensed data suppliers and public sources we're permitted to use, such as company websites and careers pages. A list of supplier categories is on our data page.
5. How we use it
- To provide search, enrichment, verification and scraping to customers.
- To keep records accurate: refreshing, verifying and removing outdated data.
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
- Legal basis where required: legitimate interests in B2B prospecting, balanced against the opt-out we provide. [Counsel to confirm by jurisdiction.]
6. Who we share it with
Customers on paid and free plans, within our terms. Service providers that help us run Leadsets (hosting, payments, email verification vendors), under contract. Authorities when legally required. We never sell customer account data.
7. How long we keep it
Customer data: for the life of the account plus [X] months. Dataset records: while they remain accurate and lawful to hold; suppressed records are kept only as a minimal "do not serve" entry so they stay removed.
8. Your rights
- Opt out of the dataset at any time, no account needed.
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it: privacy@leadsets.ai.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). We answer requests within [30] days.
9. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, key rotation and audit logs for every ingestion, merge, deletion and export.
